Illinois State University’s Milner Library Educational Artifacts Collection Lincoln and the Civil War

Illinois State University’s Milner Library Educational Artifacts Collection is a large collection of loanable trunks on a wide variety of topics in the social studies and science areas.

The trunks contain materials to enhance the classroom experience. Trunks in the social studies area cover many regions of the world, specific countries and topics about the United States. The trunks have a great variety of materials including artifacts, maps, pictures, poster, books and videotapes.

The Artifacts Collection is located in the Teaching Materials Center on Floor 1, Milner Library. Specific titles must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance of the pick-up date.  To reserve titles, call the Floor 1 office at (309) 438-3440 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Once reserved, the collection will be available for check-out Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m-9 p.m., Friday 8 a.m-4:30 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m.-5 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
